Highlights Faulkner University successfully recruited many VBS high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to college for 2011-2012 for $90 per class [$1400 savings] under the "dual enrollment" program.
University of Alabama, Faulkner, AUM and Troy pursue VBS students to start college while in 10th-12th grade under "dual enrollment".
VBS beats Alabama ACT scores again. VBS 1st through 11th grade VBS students take the SAT Tests during the Spring Semester. On SAT average, VBS beat 83% of the nations schools. By 11th grade VBS beat 98% of nation's schools.
Curriculum VBS primarily uses the A Beka curriculum developed from Pensacola Christian College. Academics On the average, VBS students score considerably higher on the SAT than the average public school student.
On the elementary level, we teach phonics or English, Writing, Arithmetic, History, Science and Art.
The majority of our high school courses are college prepatory. Help Classes If a student needs additional help in a particular subject, the teacher may request that the student attend help class. Help classes are held after school for thirty minutes at no charge. Library/Computer Lab At the West Campus building we have a library and elementary computer lab. A computer lab is also available at the Jr and Sr High facility.
Fourth through twelfth grade students may participate in Academic, Bible and Fine Arts competitions through the Alabama Christian Educational Association. Each year VBS has several students compete in the regional and state level.
